Chapter 4 - Division 10/21/15 V ocabulary you NEED to know: Dividend- the number that is being divided Divisor- the number that divides the dividend Quotient- answer to a division problem Multiples- a number that is the product of a given number and a counting number ex: 2,4,6,8- multiples of 2 Remainder- the amount left over when a number cannot be divided equally Factors- Numbers that are multiplied together to equal a product. 4.4 Divide Tens, Hundreds, and Thousands D ustin is packing apples in gift boxes. Each gift box holds 4 apples.
