2. You foolish Galatians! Who put a spell on you? Before your very eyes you had a clear description of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross! Tell me this one thing: did you receive God's Spirit by doing what the Law requires or by hearing the gospel and believing it? How can you be so foolish!

3. You began by God's Spirit; do you now want to finish by your own power? Did all your experience mean nothing at all? Surely it meant something! Does God give you the Spirit and work miracles among you because you do what the Law requires or because you hear the gospel and believe it? Galatians 3:1-5 GNB

5. A. LIVING by the Flesh 1. You are LIVING in fantasy land 2. Opposing CHRIST’S work "If I preach circumcision... the stumbling block of the cross has been removed." Galatians 5:11 3. You are opposing the SPIRIT’S work “Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" Galatians 4:6 NASB

6. B.LIVING by the Spirit 1. Is BECOMING a Christ follower and RECEIVING the Spirit the same thing? "Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him." Romans 8:9 2. How do you KNOW the Spirit is in your life? “Answer this question: Does the God who lavishly provides you with his own presence, his Holy Spirit, working things in your lives you could never do for yourselves, does he do these things because of your strenuous moral striving or because you trust him to do them in you?” Galatians 3:5 MSG

7. a. MIRACLES The disciples spread the Good News everywhere. The Lord worked with them. He confirmed his word by the miraculous signs that accompanied it. 8. 3) How do you RECEIVE the Spirit? “But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed and kissed and kissed him.” Luke 15: 20 By his own will he brought us into being through the word of truth, so that we should have first place among all his creatures.
