23 Kansas State Department of Education www.ksde.org What happens if an affiliate does not meet criteria during the Essential Requirements Review?  Affiliate receives an email, letting them know that a success plan will need to be completed.  Email will name each specific Essential Requirement that was not met, as indicated by APR data  A link to an online success plan will be in the email, along with a “printable” version  Affiliates need to complete success plan form within 30 days of receiving email

33 Kansas State Department of Education www.ksde.org The Process: Step 1 Because the Essential Requirements are fundamental to successfully replicating and implementing the PAT model with fidelity, the Essential Requirements Review is the first step in the endorsement process. Fidelity is demonstrated when an affiliate meets or exceeds the minimum measure for each essential requirement.

34 Kansas State Department of Education www.ksde.org Step 2 Programs that meet or exceed all 17 essential requirements are notified by PAT National their affiliate meets the requirements to complete the Self-Study. Through the self-study, affiliates illustrate how they meet the 100 additional quality standards, identifying strengths and making improvements along the way.

35 Kansas State Department of Education www.ksde.org Step 3 Once all the self-studies have been submitted for a given year, the PAT reviewers at the national center conduct an administrative review of those rated as meeting 75 or more of the quality standards. The PAT reviewers then select a percentage of these self-studies for a more in-depth review.
