Facts on Vitamin C Vitamin C can be lost when getting food ready, cooking it, or storing food. To help stop vitamin C from being lost: -Serve fruits or veggies raw (uncooked) whenever possible. -Don’t soak or store raw fruits or veggies in water. Vitamin C dissolves in water. -Refrigerate juices and store them for no longer than 2 to 3 days

How Much Vitamin C? Fruits and vegetables contain lots of vitamin C The food pyramid recommends 1.5 cups of fruit and 2 cups of vegetables daily.
