5 注 : that 在句中无词汇意义,在从句中不能充当成分, 在口语当中往往省略 e.g. 1.I hear (that) _______________________. (一小时后他会回来) 2.He said (that) ______________________. (是否要下雨) if (whether) he will go to the park with us whether (if) he can come whether it is going to rain or not If there ’ s “ or not ” , we must use “ whether ” instead of “ if ”.

9 In object clauses, the words order is the same as in a statement. What ’ s the matter ? I wondered … “ Who gives you the book? ” She asked … I wondered what was the matter. She asked who gave me the book.
