3 The death of MLK Jr. In April 1968 he was shot and killed by James Earl Ray as he stood on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel. He was thirty-nine years old when he was assassinated.

4 His great accomplishments He made a speech called I have a dream to help join together black and white people. He said I have a dream that one day my four children will live in a place where they are not judged by their skin color but by the content of their character. He led the boycott from1955-1956 In 1964 he won the Nobel Peace Prize.

5 MLK Jr. goal. His goal was to let freedom ring where everybody, black, or white could join together in peace. And have nobody judge them by their skin color.

6 MLK Jr. greatest contribution. His greatest contribution was to bring freedom to black and white people and not let them be judged by their skin color. Because without him we would not have a lot of the freedom that we have today. And some of my friends would not be my friends because some of my best friends are black. And that would be terrible to not have them as my friends.
