Women with osteoporosis. Nondisabled women. Women from non-industrialized countries. Relevance – Patients with CFS have similar difficulties in standing and sitting as patients with osteoporosis.

Timed loaded standing in female chronic fatigue syndrome compared with other populations. Compared groups on TLS. – TLS measures how long someone can hold 1 kg dumbbell in each hand with arms straight out in front of him- or herself.

Timed loaded standing in female chronic fatigue syndrome compared with other populations. J Rehabil Res Dev. 2015;52(1):XX–XX. http://dx.doi.org/10.1682/JRRD.2014.03.0086 Slideshow Project DOI:10.1682/JRRD.2014.03.0086JSP Results TLS results: – Higher in industrialized nondisabled than non- industrialized women and women with osteoporosis. – Lower in women with CFS than nondisabled controls. After adjusting for age, body height, and weight: – Combined trunk and arm endurance was even lower in women with CFS than women older than 25 with osteoporosis and women from non-industrialized countries.
