Reduce need to staff extra staff for occasional use at off–sites. Remote Classrooms / Instruction. Help fill classes by including all distance sites of a college or multiple colleges. Especially for low enrollment classes. Help developing classes. Help when having trouble finding enough teachers in a rare discipline.

2 Administrative Impacts Remote New Employee Orientation, EOLT, and District Training Remote meetings and lectures such as Honors Lectures / Forums, Governing Board Meetings. Would allow students to make remote presentations to main locations. Provide and promotes globalization through international connections for instruction and partnerships. Trip reduction for meetings and conferences. Rental of system and services to outside clients. For revenue or community involvement. Reduce loss of productivity due to travel time. Help improve meeting attendance by providing more options.

3 Technical Impacts Uses H.323 as the standard. This standard was created by Cisco, Polycom, and other major IT companies as members of ITU. Through QoS, network impact and video quality can to better managed. With a 768Kb standard Max for each site, if all 11 sites connected to the bridge at Rio, then Rio would be using a 8.5Mb to the District.
