4  Citizens voted directly on issues= direct democracy  Unlike in the USA, where we vote for people who vote on issues = indirect democracy VOTING

5  Citizens would participate in the Assembly, where they would vote on laws.  The Assembly voted when to go to war, on laws, and on some elected officials  The Assembly often required at least 6,000 citizens to pass a law, although sometimes there were even more than that in attendance! THE ASSEMBLY (ECCLESIA)
