If you thought the mind and body are the same then you are a… Materialism believes that the mind and body are the same and that they can’t separated. Materialists are often scientists

If you thought the mind and body are the different then you are a… Dualism believes that the mind and body are two separate things and that the mind could live on without the body. If you believe in ghosts or a soul that lives on after you’ve died then you are a Dualist. I can explain these terms and know how they relate to immortality.

Use pages 90 and 91 in the textbook to find out the following things… What is dualism and materialism (in your own words). Why do people believe in dualism/materialism? What do you think of these two views? Which do you think is right? Stretch & Challenge: Can you be a materialist and believe in life after death?
