The Pyramids were built by Ancient Egyptians This is what some artists think it may have looked like when the Pyramids were being built.

Scientists believe that the first, and largest pyramid was began around 2560 BC, and took 10-20 years to build!

The smaller tombs surrounding the larger one were built after the Great Pyramid was completed These were meant for the Pharaoh Khufu’s wives, servants, and even higher priests

Pyramids were used as tombs to bury important people in after they died Some important people would be: Pharaohs, High Priests, and the wealthy. These Pyramids would also be the tomb of the person’s servants, spouses, and even pets!

The largest pyramid is 480.6 feet tall! Each side is 755.9 feet long Each block weighs between 25 and 80 tons, which is 50,000 to 160,000 pounds!
