Explicitly confirmed unity in all essential beliefs Unified efforts in accomplishing common goals (e.g., moral issues, aiding the poor, fight against aids, etc.) Unity in who we essentially are— the invisible Body of Christ

The Reformers understood that if theology was, at any point, thought to be solidified and one person ’ s, group ’ s, tradition ’ s, or denomination ’ s perspective was thought of to be “ above all reproach ” and, therefore, unable to be developed, the task of doing theology would be severely grieved.
