2 Aspects and Rationale Aims Enhance the professional development for
English teachers working with NCS students; and Improve literacy levels of students in reading and writing through catering to learner diversity

3 Objectives To work closely with the school personnel in
developing a School-based Curriculum which focus on: Textbook adaptation Teaching of reading through the five strategies Teaching writing through shared writing and process writing Using drama to enhance teaching and learning

4 Mode of Collaboration with Seed schools
Teacher Secondment – one secondee per year, three LETs over three years Option of no Secondment – the school will spare a co-ordinator for taking up the adaptation task with flexible deployment during the week. Environment – storage for Big Books and Guided Readers and notice board for display of students’ work * Please refer to the Information Pack for full details regarding commitment!

5 Commitments for Joining
School-based Curriculum Development Plan and develop a school-based curriculum Schedule timetabled co-planning meetings for at least an hour per week on a regular basis Allow teachers to attend CPD, cluster and school-based PD workshops
