2 Blair Unit  3 ward low secure unit  Forensic acute and rehabilitation (24 beds)  IPCU (11 beds, 2 female forensic)  Grampian, Orkney, Shetland  Population 500,000

3 Mearns Suite  In-hospital clinic – all Grampian patients  8 different clinics  ECT, clozapine, depot, podiatry, dental, phlebotomy, ECG, optician  110 patients in depot clinic  174 patients in clozapine clinic

4 Mearns Suite  2 full time and 1 part time trained nursing staff  Part time nursing assistant/phlebotomist  Part time phlebotomist  Available 4 ½ days per week (8am- 4pm)  Award winning service!

5 GP Services  GP input to all wards in unit  Patients remain registered with own GPs  Three sessions per week  Physical health  Summaries for case reviews  Model

6 GP Role  Consistency of care  Easy access to GP services Encourages people to engage with GP Advisory role for junior medical staff  Liaison between unit GP and registered GP  Ongoing appraisal and access to GP training ensures up to date knowledge and practice

7 Annual Health Checks  MWC requirement for clearly documented health checks  Developing annual review system in rehabilitation ward  Richard.legg@nhs.net
