21 Grievance Redressal Mechanism Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India  A 24 hour help line at telephone no. 0172-6541673 has been established at the State level.  Complaints received are dealt with at the Head Office, District Office or Schools immediately.  42 complaints received, mainly regarding misappropriation of foodgrains, non supply of MDM on a particular day or removal of a cook.  Action has been taken on 40 complaints.

29 ISSUES Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India 29  6 months delay in releasing of funds by the State Govt. The MI also observed delay in release of cooking cost and honorarium to cook-cum-helpers at school level. Schools are managing it from their own.  Cleaning in the drinking water area is required in 28%- 40% of the schools.  The standardized regulators for gas cylinder were not used for cooking in Moga,Ludhiana and SAS nagar.  Vit. A dosage not distributed to the children.
