4 Accessible Easy to obtain approach, or enter; capable of being used or reached i.e. The tardy log is very accessible

5 Acclaim Loud applause; praise; to applaud; to approve i.e. The new movie is critically acclaimed.

6 Acknowledge To admit; to recognize the rights or authority of; to express thanks for. I acknowledge that the principal is the head of the school.

7 Adage An old saying; a proverb i.e. “The early bird gets the worm,” is an adage.

8 Addicted Given up to a habit or compulsion i.e. I am addicted to soda.

9 Adversary An opponent; an enemy. i.e. The joker is one of Batman’s adversaries.

10 Advocate One who argues for a cause; a defender; to support; to recommend. i.e. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was an advocate of civil rights.

11 Affected Influenced; stirred emotionally; speaking or behaving in a false way to make an impression. i.e. My family was greatly affected by the big storm that came through this past weekend.
