2 Completing your Option Sheet Online Direct link to the option sheet on Nantyr’s Home Page http://nss.scdsb.on.ca Located under the Guidance Tab – Course Selection – “Choose your courses now!” INSTRUCTIONS- for various grade levels listed APPLICATIONS - for various special courses also here

3 Login Concerns If for some reason your login becomes locked: Your password will automatically reset to your birthday after 1 hr. My birthday is May 20, 1997 My password is 19970520

4 Plan your courses for 2014-15 Choose compulsory courses that were unsuccessfully attempted (ie. choose ENG2P if unsuccessful sem. 1 ) Do not assume that you will recover or complete at summer school Choose Compulsory next step courses (ie. after choosing ENG2P also choose ENG3C) Choose Electives Choose Alternatives

5 2. Select Course Selections 1. Go to the Guidance Tab Head to our school website to start selecting your courses.

6 To select your courses click on “Choose your courses now!”

7 Click on Option Sheets

8 Your user name is your school computer login. Your password is your birthday: YEARMODA: 19960823 Click Sign In

9 You must now change your password. It must be 6 characters long. Try to pick something you remember

10 You are now logged in! Select ‘Course Selection’ to begin!

11 All of your compulsory subjects are listed first. Click on the pencil to select your level!

12 Reminder of the levels! Click the bubble beside the level you need to take next! Click ‘Okay’ to move on!

13 Once you have selected a course it will show up in a box and have a check mark! Heading into grade 11? Continue to select your compulsory math credit. Thinking ahead! Remember: Many grade 12 courses require prerequisites! Do your research

14 You can select by subject for the remainder of your 6 electives OR select “All Courses”.

15 Under ‘Arts’ the electives are listed alphabetically by course name. Please reference the Course Calendar if you can not find your selection. Select ‘Okay’ if you make a selection from this subject area.

16 Under “All Courses” there are multiple pages! Remember to scroll through to see them all! So many choices!

17 Important Info: You must select the appropriate ‘Block’ for Leadership and Peer Support.

18 There are ‘Blocks’ to select for Enviroventure and Yearbook as well. Reminder: IDC4U/4O is the code for Sports Marketing.

19 You must select all compulsory credits. If you do not your course selection will not be submitted. The red exclamation mark (!) indicates you have missed an area.

20 Your completed course selection should look like this! You can now select ‘Submit’!

21 Review your course selections. You should have 8 courses and 2 alternatives. You are now done and may ‘Sign Out’.

23 Some Courses Require Applications Co-operative Education Peer Leadership and Peer Tutoring Yearbook Enviroventure Applications available online – under guidance, course selection. Print online, complete and hand in at the guidance office. Teachers will contact students that have filled out application first.

26 Specialist High Skills Majors Nantyr offers Specialist High Skills Majors in Environmental Specialist and Culinary Creations A Specialist High Skills Major Includes: 4 senior courses in the specific major 2 cooperative education credits Senior Math and English Recognized Training and Certificates Experiential Learning Opportunity to complete a Georgian College Dual Credit

27 The Dual Credit program is an opportunity for grade 12 students to take a general college credit at Georgian College for free! For many courses, transportation is even provided!
