8 International Atomic Energy Agency 34th Consultative Meeting of the INIS Liaison Officers, Vienna, 3-5 November 2008 8 INIS Liaison Officers Survey Majority of ILOs are not working 100% for INIS ~45% of INIS Centres do not have sufficient financial and/or human resources to fulfil INIS Members and therefore are not able capture relevant information for the INIS DB Highest priority of INIS Members is the preparation of input to the INIS Bibliographic and NCL databases Information services, marketing and promotion have lower priority

9 International Atomic Energy Agency 34th Consultative Meeting of the INIS Liaison Officers, Vienna, 3-5 November 2008 9 INIS Liaison Officers Survey 60% of INIS Centres require assistance from the INIS Secretariat in form of new efficient input preparation tools and stressed the importance of resuming INIS Training Seminars 75% of ILOs stated that marketing & promotion activities could reinforce the image of INIS and consider joint marketing plan as a mechanism to facilitate these activities Many ILOs are in favour of opening free access to the INIS DB, emphasising that it could increase INIS DB usage and make marketing easer
