2. Who is James?  James was a nuclear chemist, that worked at the Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory in the heavy isotope production division.

3. Why he’s important  In the course of several years, Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory produced a number of new elements by bombarding atomic targets in an accelerator.  The research team purified and prepared target material.

4. How he impacted the world  His company founded 3 new elements: Element 104, Element 105, and Element 110.

5. THE ELEMENTS  Element 104: Was first claimed to have been discovered by Soviet scientists in 1964. U.S. scientists claim to have discovered it in 1969.  Element 105: Was first claimed to have been discovered by the Soviets in 1967, and by the U.S. in 1970.  Element 110: Was discovered by someone that worked for the Laboratory named Gesellschaft Schuerionenforschuna.

6. Life and Death LIFE He was born on March 26,1932 in Waco, Texas. DEATH James Andrew Harris is still alive today going strong at 80 years old.
