13 The Citizen as Lisbon Ally The Citizen as Lisbon Ally Informing people about Lisbon is an important step to creating a commitment on all levels of government. (Barroso/Verheugen, February 2005) It appears the EU Commission wants the citizens’ support to push their reluctant member states into action.

14 School: an important ally To improve school we have to educate teachers to an European reality so they will do the same to students. Teachers will have to teach what “to work” means. They must burden students to be competitive at European level.
