2. Page 2 In Law there is a famous proverb, justice should not only be done but seems to have been done. This principle applies to our office work also. In our work place we should not only accomplish our tasks but also make it known to others / concerned. We have to become visible both inside and outside our workplace. Many of us do very well in our work but only a few of us get noticed. If we have done something well, we have every right to get noticed. We must make it a habit to get noticed and our presence felt.

4. Page 4 This is a simple way to get noticed. Some of us are too serious at work and do not meet our colleagues and seniors. We may do wonderful things but if we do not have the required human relations skills then we will never be noticed. We need to make others know our achievements. It is important to communicate with our seniors make them known what we have done.

5. Page 5 The principle of management by walking around in the office / plant can be practiced by all. We are not alone in our company. There are many others who too are doing wonderful things for the company. We need to get up from our seats and go around meeting people with a smile, discuss with them find out ground realities to effectively deal with situation. Meeting others will always give us fresh ideas, refresh our enthusiasm and make us visible and lovable.

6. Page 6 Keep knowledge of your subject up to date. Your talk / presentations have to be based on facts / figures and proper analysis. Nothing should be talked about in air. Anticipate the possible questions and be prepared with the logical answers. This will show your matured and professional approach to business making you visible. Big talks may be impressive but if it is not followed up by action result is zero. Have faith in your ability, take initiative, work systematically and deliver results. Do not give excuses, walk that extra mile and bring results. You are then bound to be visible.

7. Page 7 If you want to be respected and admired, respect and admire others first. We need to appreciate and admire the achievements and potentials of our colleagues and superiors. We must have positive attitude. People with positive attitude always have more visibility and they are sought after by others. Appreciate sincerely the contributions of others especially of your subordinates. It is always better to appreciate people in public and correct them in private.

8. Page 8 A friend in need is a friend indeed. Lead your subordinates / others from back in normal times. Lead them from the front when there is a crisis. Your inspiring leadership will make you visible. People who are punctual, responsible and helpful are always visible. We need to be more responsible in use of our time, resource and talents. We need to keep our places clean, protect the assets of the company and help our colleagues who are struggling to complete a task. These acts may look simple but will make you visible.

9. Page 9 Men / Women cannot live in isolation. People are our greatest assets. We have to have a good team work. We cannot have the use and throw approach to people. We have to thank the people and remain connected. You should have an open mind and listen to others. This will earn us more visibility.

10. Page 10 During performance management system process persons with visibility have an edge over non visible. Hence it is very critical that we should not only perform will but should get well noticed by all concerned.
