Northside Primary School is “Seeking Every Child’s Fullest Potential”. We strive each day to ensure that your child is safe and has an opportunity to an equitable education.

4 All Tift County Schools are Title One Schools!
Title One supports intervention programs, parent communication, and additional school resources. Our curriculum is based on the Georgia Standards of Excellence. Our goal is to work together to form a unified experience for all of our students.

5 What is Title One? Title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C et seq.) is amended to read as follows: TITLE I — IMPROVING THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF THE DISADVANTAGED The purpose of Title I under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments. A Title I school has qualified to receive federal funding under this act.

6 How Does NSP participate with Title One?
Title I schools are based on percent of students eligible for free and reduced lunch. Northside Primary is an identified Schoolwide Title I School! In a schoolwide school , all students benefit from Title I resources. We receive funding from the federal government where we are generally able to offer: Additional staff members to lower the student-teacher ratio. Provide Parent Involvement Resources. Provide additional training from school staff.

Parent Liaison: Mrs. Melinda Howell Retired teacher with 30 years of classroom experience! She is at NSP every Tuesday! Mrs. Howell has plenty of parent resources for you to check out! Please come visit her in room 202!

11 What is our Schools Designation Status and What Does it Mean?
In , the Georgia Department of Education applied for a waiver seeking relief from the federal No Child Left Behind Act. As a result, the United States Department of Education agreed to use a new system, the College & Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI), to report the progress of Georgia's public schools. In January 2013, the Georgia Department of Education released the final list of indicators on which schools will receive a CCRPI score. 13 Northside Primary’s 2013 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) Score is Under the ESEA wavier, Northside Primary is not designated as a Title I focus, priority, or alert school. NSP is not currently under any federal or state requirements to offer a Flexible Learning Program or other tutoring sessions.

15 Third Grade CRCT CCRPI Score is based on CRCT scores for When Georgia Milestone Assessment (GMAS) scores come in this will be updated, and CCRPI will be based GMAS.

 Parents have the right to request the qualifications of your child’s teacher and any instructional paraprofessional that works with your child. To learn the qualifications of these staff, make an appointment with the principal.
