6.  The Beauchastel power plant was built in 1964. It is a hydroelectric plant, that is to say that it works with water. It is composed of a barrage which allows to stock the water energy. This energy is used to produce electricity.  Here is a picture of the Beauchastel Power Plant :

7.  It is a nuclear power plant. This is a way to produce electricity by the fission of uranium atoms. This makes a lot of energy, which is stocked and distributed under shape of electricity.  Here is a picture of the Cruas-Meysse Power Plant :

8.  The power plant of Pierre Bénite is also very important. Indeed, it is located in Lyon which is the biggest city of the Rhône-Alpes region.  Here is a picture of the Pierre Benite power plant, which is, like the Beauchastel one, a hydroelectric plant : 

9.  The Donzère power plant produces electricity in a special way : It uses wind turbines. These machines use the wind energy to make electricity. It is a renewable energy, that is why the Donzère electric plant is an eco-friendly plant.

10.  All among the Rhône Alpes territory, there are wires that transport and distribute electricity. These wires form a complex network, which is indispensable so everybody can receive some electricity  An essential part of the Rhône-Alpes electric network : electric wires located next to the city of Lyon.
