At the Auschwitz concentration camp, millions of Jews, died due to hunger, disease, exhaustion, gunshot wounds and

3. History (Part 2)
They wore striped uniforms (resembling pajamas) without underwear
Wore wooden shoes without socks
They wore an armband with a star design
The armband was used to separate the Jews

4. Location
The main character, Bruno, first lived in Berlin, Germany and then his family is relocated to Auschwitz, Poland
Auschwitz was a large camp located in Oświęcim, Poland
The three main camps were:
Auschwitz I
Auschwitz II-Birkenau,
Auschwitz III-Monowitz

5. Traditions and Practices
Jews practiced their religion during the Holocaust, kept the Sabbath and attended Torah lectures
Children secretly attended schools in hidden locations or learned from private tutors
Holidays were also celebrated to keep their culture alive
