Nuclear/immediate family: parents, an only child, siblings(brothers or sisters), younger/elder, half-sister, married, divorced, single… Extended family: grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, elderly, widow/widower, relations, generation Come from, consists of, pass away, separated, maternal

4 What do they do?(why?) My father/mother works as : an engineer, a computer programmer, an accountant, a mechanic, a surgeon, a nurse, a teacher, a senior manager, a shop assistant, a lorry driver, a security guard.. My mother is a housewife/ out of work at the moment/ a freelance My grandmother is retired/a pensioner... My parents work: part-time/full time/shift-work/9 to 5-the standard working day/flexible hours/

5 What things do you like to do together? Why?
We’re a tight-knit family and spend a lot of time together: -share household chores(do the washing-up/ironing/ shopping; tidy the house/weed the garden), have/cook meals, -have lots of family celebrations(wedding anniversaries, birthday parties), play board games, invite/visit relatives -go out for a stroll, -enjoy outdoor activities, spend holidays at the seaside, -have picnics, go cycling/hiking It’s never dull. We help and care for each other. I feel the strength and support
