Cold from Crust cools the rock. The rock becomes more dense and sinks in the Mantle. Crust Mantle COLD is more dense so it sinks. HEAT is less dense so it rises. Mantle Outer Core Heat from Outer Core warms the rock. The rock becomes less dense and rises in the Mantle.
