Rise of Nazis Hitler went to Germany and fought in the German army He joined a small group of right wing extremists Within a year, he became the unquestioned leader of the National Socialist German Workers, or Nazi party Hitler organized his supportive people into fighting squads. 13. Nuremberg Laws The Nuremberg Laws were passed in 1935. These laws took away German citizenship from Jews and placed many restrictions on them. Some restrictions were that Jews couldn't: Marry non-Jews Attend or teach at German schools Hold government jobs Practice law or medicine Publish books

14. Kristallnacht "Night of Broken Glass" On November 7th, 1938 a young Jew shot a German diplomat in Paris after his parents were mistreated. Hitler used the incident to attack all Jews on November 9th and 10th. Known as the "Night of Broken Glass," Mobs led by Nazis attacked Jewish communities.
