5 Submission Sangsung Choi & Cheolho Shin, ETRI IEEE 802.15-10-0505-00-004g Slide 5 Channel Plan for USN in 917 – 923.5MHz - Should share the spectrum with RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) - Occupied bandwidth : No restriction (≤ 6.5MHz ) - Frequency offset tolerance : ±40 ppm - Maximum Power : 10 mW EIRP except RFID tag channels. RFID tag channels : CH 1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18. Maximum power in RFID tag channels : 3 mW JULY, 2010

6 Submission Sangsung Choi & Cheolho Shin, ETRI IEEE 802.15-10-0505-00-004g Sharing conditions for RFID and USN Slide 6 - FHSS (Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum). Maximum hopping time ≤ 0.4 second. The number of hopping channel for RFID : more than 6. The number of hopping channel for USN : more than 16 - LBT (Listen Before Transmission). Carrier sensing time ≥ 5 ms. Carrier sensing level = -65dBm. Transmission duration ≤ 4 second. Pause duration ≥ 50 ms - Duty Cycle. Below 2% in 20 sec duration JULY, 2010
