2 2005 is the 26 th Anniversary of California’s AB 120 GOAL Improve transportation service for social service fund recipients by promoting the improved coordination and consolidation of transportation services.

4 AB120 Requirements Social Service Transportation Inventories Action Plans Consolidated Transportation Service Agencies (CTSAs) 5% of Transportation Development Act funds could be set aside for Community Transportation Services.

5 AB120: Did it work? Yes Sucesses in large cities & counties CalACT formed in 1984 Created a framework & culture of coordination

10 CTSA Advantages Designation of LTA as a CTSA streamlines the process for LTA to apply for 5310 grants. Assures that LTA has coordination review of other 5310 grant applications. Makes LTA the lead agency in human services coordination requirements for new federal grant programs.

16 Transportation Feasibility Coalition Purpose: Determine the feasibility of improving transportation services for families with at risk children ages 0-6. Funding: The United Way “Success By Six” program provided a $30,000 grant to Sutter Lakeside Community Services. Objectives: Identify existing structure, create interest, needs assessment, identify/redirect funding, work with what we have.
