2 Discovery Information Tell who discovered your element. Where and how was it first isolated? Was its discovery accidental or purposeful? A picture of the discoverer along with a caption should be used on this side if you can find one. A map of the country/area is good if you cannot find a picture of the discoverer.

3 Name Info Describe the origin of your element’s name. Give the word(s) from which the name comes. What language? Give the word(s) from which the symbol comes. What language? Include a picture of your element in relation to one of its uses along with a caption.

4 Replicate Element’s Square Atomic Number Atomic Mass Element Name Symbol Use arrows and words to explain each item in the square.

5 Basic Information Boiling point Melting point Density Normal phase (solid, liquid, or gas) Classification (metal, metalloid, non-metal, noble gas) Include a picture of your element along with a caption.

6 Electron Cloud Model Include the Electron Cloud Model Drawing of your element including labels for protons, neutron, and electrons.

7 Source of Element Include a picture of the element as it occurs in nature (don’t forget a caption). Where is it found in nature? What is its source if man wants to use it? How abundant is your element on the Earth?

8 Uses Include a list of uses for your element. Include at least one picture describing one of the uses for your element, along with a caption.

9 Miscellaneous Discuss any environmental issues, hazards, handling precautions, historical disasters, or significance to humanity in relation to your element. Include a picture in relation to any of the aforementioned ideas and include a caption.

10 Interesting Information Include at least 3 interesting things you found out about your element. Include a picture and a caption.

11 References Include a list of references (must have at least 2 books and 1 internet source).

12 Delete this slide before turning in! Information given should be CORRECT and on YOUR level! Be creative! Make this colorful, exciting, and pleasing to the eye! Proper English and grammar should be used, though complete sentences are not mandatory.
