Qatar’s 4 pillars Human development Economic development Environmental development Social development

 The oil and gas in Qatar will eventually finish, when that happens Qatar will have to depend on their citizens, and that’s when human development comes. To prepare for that, Qatar needs to start investing in educational and health systems, and when that happens work will also come along.

 It is important for any human in the world to be smart. Through education, anyone can get good work, and through that way they can gain money to start a family and buy food. Qatar has already started working on its educational issues. As you can see, the education city, Qatar Foundation, is almost half finished.

 By 2022, I think that most of the Qatar’s 2030 plans would have been finished. Especially Qatar foundation, like I said before, it is already half finished, so after 11 years, most definitely it will be fully finished. I also think that other educational places in Qatar would have improved. For example, there might be more museums, or the schools might have improved there facilities.

 “Qatar plans to build a modern world class educational system that can provide students with a first-rate education, comparable to that offered anywhere in the world.” Even though Qatar’s plan for 2030 might be complicated, in my opinion, they would have successfully completed it. It was 140 th compared to the world in 2005, and thinking of how many places there are and how many years passed by, that’s a pretty good place to start off.

 Just like education is important, health has even more importance. If a human has no health, then that human cannot live longer. Health is also very important to a country, if the health facilities aren't good, then the life expectancy of the citizens will decrease, if that happens then the population will also go down, and less people will want to live there. That is why Qatar is planning on building one of the best hospitals with the best doctors in the world, they are also doing that through education.

 By 2022, I would say that a few of Qatar’s plans for health would have been finished. I think that because Qatar is currently focusing on education more than anything. For example, in Qatar foundation, there are 2 amazing hospitals, but now its 2011 and they haven’t even started on building one of them, a hospital takes years to build, let alone the delivery of all the machines and medicines. So I would say that Qatar might not be progressing so well for 2022.

 “To improve the health of Qatar’s population, Qatar aspires to develop an integrated system for health care, managed according to world-class standards, that will meet the needs of existing and future generations.” just like Qatar’s educational plan for 2030, their plan for health is also very complicated. I would say that Qatar might not get that far as to health, but they might have got through half of their plan.

 The whole of Qatar’s future depends on the amount of labor workers. For Qatar to successfully complete all of its plans, it needs a proper labor working force. Without any workers, technicians, architects, etc… Qatar wont be able to successfully reach its goal for 2030. the problem is that not much people like to work as workers doing a lot of labor. So Qatar wants to advertise around the world, not only here to gain more labor workers to help obtain its dream for 2030.

 I think that the rate of building in Qatar is basically slow. Compared to America, it is extremely slow. In America to build a bridge it would take about 2 months, but here in Qatar it would take 1 year. But, Qatar’s labor work force has increased lately and will definitely increase in time, so I would say that Qatar’s plan for 2030 would be well through half way by 2022.

 “In order to realize Qatar’s future ambitions, it will be necessary to make up for the shortages of local labor with expatriate workers.” as I stated before, Qatar has already started advertising and telling people about labor work that needs to be done. The number of working force will gradually increase and that will also help the rate of work to be finished faster. I would say that by 2030 Qatar’s plans would have been successfully finished.

 Qatar has been planning for the world cup for years, but they probably didn’t put the plans in there goal for 2030. now that they have won the 2022 bid for hosting the world cup, I think that everything will become much busier and cheaper. Now Qatar has to work even harder to reach its goal since there are 15 more stadiums to be built.

 Thank you for watching my humanities presentation
