17 SAVI Community Information System Building a Custom Community SAVI allows users to create their own community boundary and then provides them with a customized profile of that community. There are 4 ways to build a community: 1.Select from a list of pre-defined geographic areas such as census tracts 2.Select geographic areas from a map 3.Choose by specifying a distance around an asset such as a school 4.Choose by specifying a distance around an address

Find an area (geographic boundary) based on its name or identifier. Find areas based on socio-economic characteristics. Users can then view their results on a map.
