2. Salt Lake City Utah the Mormons first came here in 1847. they had been cast away from everywhere else because of their religion. They irrigated the lands for good farming. Were the lands were beautiful.

3. The Alamo On February 23 1836 Mexico attacked 150 Americans, Mexico had 6000 troops ready to fight. This has to do with westward expansion because of the cotton that could be planted and the beautiful lands. \

4. SanFrancisco The California gold rush caused the city to flourish. This city today is very big. Manifest Destiny this city also may have caused people to think they should expand to the west.

5. Oregon city People in search of good farmland came here. Soil is fertile and temps are mild all year round. This event in time helped open up the west. So people wanted get all the land.

6. Mexico city This place were the united states beat Mexico for there freedom. Everyone came here because it was a beautiful place to live also because people wanted freedom so this helped open the west.

7. Rocky mountains Lewis and Clark had to stop here on there way to the pacific. Also it had a lot of resources. This has to do with Manifest destiny because the Rockies had resources so they believed they should have rights to it.

8. New Orleans Jefferson wanted farmers to always be able ship there goods threw ports. This help open up the west because when they brought it they explored it and believed they should have land all they way to the pacific.
