Vision Statement A high quality trail network for hikers, runners, horse riders, mountain bikers, hunters and motorized sports enthusiasts with appropriate trail types and locations suitable for each interest. 17 Cost Recovery & Economic Impacts Tourism Kelowna provided the following statistics: Mountain bike event; Squamish Test of Metal race; 800 participants – EI is $400,000 Mountain bike event ; N Van to Whistler; BC Bike Race – 550 participants & 850 spectators accompanying the racers (from 33 countries) – EI is $4 million Hiking event – Cape Breton, NS – Hike the Highlands Festival – 150 participants – EI is $110,000 Running event – Leadville, CO – Leadville Race Series 4,000 participants – EI is $15 million Telemark Nordic Ski Club
