2 Introduction The significance of this conversation: Sharing experiences on how to communicate the Mission Cardoner Training Course: from May 2014 4 founding criteria to the project: – Methodology – Language – Anthropological Content – Experiential Approach

3 On the Methodology To present the Mission, its principles and values, not as an imposition, but as an invitation Critical spirit from the University community: discussion of ideas and refusal of fundamentalisms.

4 On the Language Purposeful Inspirational Respectful in terms of diversity Inclusive

5 On the Anthropological Content (1) Our main contribution to society: Transcendent Anthropology Its core reference is the human being: integral, inviolable dignity, fundamental rights The pillars of social cohabitation: justice, tolerance, equity, participation, common good

6 On the Anthropological Content(2) Ultimate foundation of our anthropology: Jesus Christ The values we propose are open and can be shared by others How is it that we present spirituality? Wide range of opportunities for inner growth

7 On the Experiential Approach Lectures by themselves, do not transform It creatively combines conferences, workshops, personal reflection, coaching It enhances vital experiences that allow embracing our principles and values

8 Course Architecture Why the name?: For enhancing a new vision in those taking the course, of their role in the University Attendees: Professors and administrative staff who hold managerial responsibilities Components: 5 axes – 18 weeks – 117 working hours (87 presential hours + 30 virtual hours with a tutor)

9 Axe # 1: Inspiration The roots of the Society of Jesus: The conversion process of Ignacio, Spiritual Exercises, Constitutions Documents on the pedagogical thinking of the Society

10 Axe # 2: University Culture The history of Javeriana: – Colonial age: 1623-1767 – Current times: from 1930 Main corporate documents Educational Project Understanding «Holistic education»

11 Axe # 3: Institutional Culture Features connected to the administrative culture of the University Personal and collegial governmental authorities Mission values must be expressed within the managerial model

12 Axe # 4: Personal Dimension Expected integration between the personal life project and the educational project 2 aspects moving towards the same target

13 Axe # 5: Social Projection The University facing the country and its regions What the Mission of the University expresses What is expected from teaching, research and other academic activities as a service delivered to the development of the country

14 Methodology: 5 formative strategies Magisterial sessions: 4 meetings. Three days long each. Meetings for interest groups: 4 meetings during the semester Tutored virtual sessions: virtual forums of 20 attendees each Participation in the apostolic works of the Society Coaching offered by experienced Jesuits and laymen
