Lightning is a negative energy and strikes a positive energy that is tall.
lightning is 5 times hotter than the sun it is 54,000 degrees.
Lightning strikes tallest thing.
Lightning flashes 3 million times a day world wide.

4. Interesting facts
Lightning is an electric current with in a thunder cloud way up in the sky many small bitts of ice bump into each other as they move around in the air all of those collisions create electric charge after a while the hole cloud fills up with electric charges and that is how lightning is made.

5. Experiment What you need for this experiment is
Thumbtack, aluminum pie pan , Styrofoam plate , pencil with a new eraser , thumbtack.

6. method
Push the thumbtack through the center of the aluminum pie pan from the bottom.2.Push the eraser end of the pencil into the thumbtack.3. put the Styrofoam plate upside down on a table quickly rub the underneath of the plate with the wool for a couple of minutes.4. then pick up the pie pan using the pencil as a handle it on top the upside –down Styrofoam plate that you were just rubbing with the wool.5. touch the aluminum pie pan with your finger you should feel a shock if you don’t feel anything ,try rubbing the Styrofoam plate again . once you feel a shock try turning the lights out before you touch the pan again out what you see you should see a spark.
