3. Once again the Oakland Catholic Cross Country Team had a great weekend. The team won the Central Catholic Invitational on Saturday defeating 30 teams from across the state. This brings the team’s invitational record to 198 wins and 6 losses for the season. Lauren Finikiotis won the race with a time of 18:14 which continues to make her an elite runner in the state of Pennsylvania. Freshman Kate Aldrich finished 10th, sophomore Megan Nagy 17th, sophomore Sophie Young 18th and freshman Hanna Schupansky 31st. The J.V. team finished 3rd in their race. TERRIFIC JOB TEAM. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL TEAM MEMBERS!

5. All are invited to join us for morning Mass at 7:20 on Tuesdays, Wednesday, and Thursdays. On Mondays and Fridays we have started Communion Services led by Senior Eucharistic Ministers. The Communion Services also begin at 7:20.

6. Don't forget to log into the CCW site to sign up for activities for Wednesday morning. Freshmen student council speeches will be taking place at 8:55 in the JOA Theater. This is Mandatory for ALL Freshmen be sure to register on the CCW site.

7. All freshmen must attend the second CCW session in the JOA theater to hear your class officer candidate speeches.

8. This past weekend OC Eagles placed fifth in the Avonworth Fastpitch High School Tournament. Julia Vrabel caught all 4 games. Sam Palmeiri played multiple positions.( playing all of them very well). Also, Sam had a triple, which turned into a run from Julia Vrabel putting the ball in play. Our young talent coming up showed they are dedicated, ready to work and are continuing to learn the game to help contribute to our upcoming season in the spring. Great job ladies, keep up the good work!!!

10. On Friday October 2nd, the varsity tennis team played an away match against Penn Hills. OC won with a clean sweep: 5-0. 11. Campus Ministry will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 7th from 2:45 - 3:30 in G15.

12. China Trip 2016 information session will be held by Mrs. Goodman on Thursday, Oct 8th, 6:30PM in Room G-09 All OC students and parents are invited!

13. PJAS All students planning on doing PJAS science or math projects should plan on attending the PJAS session this Wednesday in G24 during the first CCW session. Please bring your computer!

14. All GCI members should check Edmodo for upcoming events, particularly the OC event on October 6.

15. Any one who ordered a hard case needs to come pick theirs up in the ARC today. All computers must have a hard case on them by Monday October 12th for the next homeroom check.

16. OC Ski and Snowboard Club : We will have a brief meeting Tuesday, October 6 after school in room 202 to discuss the club schedule for this upcoming winter. If you can not make it please check edmodo or see Mr. Kornosky at your convenience.
