3. Objectives Develop an internship program for undergraduate and graduate students Recruit and train future air quality professionals for the border region

4. Provide financial support to the student participants – Undergraduate student: $3,000 – Graduate students: $4,000 – 1 graduate course in related field for graduate students – 1 credit hour of tuition for a training course (CE 4171) at UTEP ( 1 credit-hour lab course in air quality at the beginning of the summer) Offer internships (summer or regular semester) at participating agencies in the fields of – Research in air quality engineering – Community air pollution health epidemiology – Environmental justice – Air quality improvements The Internship Program

Certificate Program – 1-credit lab course in air quality – 8-week full-time summer internship or 16 weeks half-time interns with approved agencies – 1 graduate course in related filed for graduate students – Make a presentation – Attend quarterly JAC meetings (Joint Advisory Committee for Improving Air Quality in El Paso, Cd.
