2. How long have you been at Costco? 19 years.

3. What do you like about your job? "I like working with the people there, a lot of us have been working there for a long time together. I like how I have to be fairly fast at what I do."

4. How dangerous is your job? "My job is fairly dangerous because I am working around many forklifts drivers carrying heavy crates. They work at a fast pace which makes it dangerous for employees operating the vehicle, also for people who are working around them."

5. Do you travel with your work? "I do not travel, people from the head office usually come to visit."

6. Describe your job. "I look after all items that are returned at our membership return counter. All damaged product from our warehouse floor. Contact all shipping companies and ship back damaged product."

7. Describe the process of an item being returned. -item is returned -brought back to rtv department -scan the product -document is printed -fax/email/phone to get authorization of the returned item -contact shipping companies(UPS,FedEx,etc) -ship item "On average, each day we ship out 20 000 to 30 000 dollars worth of merchandise."

8. What is the average salary range for someone in your position? $55 000 to $70 000

9. How much hours to you work a week? 40 hrs per week.

10. How many times are you off during a week? "Two specific days each week, Friday and Saturday"

11. Do you work night shifts? "No, all day shifts from 8:30am to 5pm."

12. How much responsibility to you have at your work? "I am full time in that department and handle the majority of the responsibility."

13. When would you like to retire? "I plan on retiring in 9 years from current date."

14. What do you dislike about your job? "One I dislike about my job is the fact many items are returned daily and also many damaged items are brought back. So as hard as a work there is still things to be done so I feel like I don't not accomplish very much in a day."

15. Have you received any awards or any type of accomplishments? "I was promoted to manager after my first 2 years, was a manager for 17 years then moved to a different department."

16. Do you practice safety at your workplace? "Safety is very important at Costco, we have a specific rep in our ware house. We have regular safety meetings each month. Safety is our number one priority. Safety is important because of large forklifts and other heavy equipment operation around the work place."

17. What are some benefits of working at Costco? 2 bonuses a year -summer and winter 2% back on everything I spend there Great health benefits such as eye and dental.

18. Is your job stressful? "My job is surprisingly stressful, dealing with a number of items, having to work at a very fast pace and is also physically demanding."

19. If you could choose any other career or job, what would you choose? "I would have been a teacher."

20. Why would you choose something else? "Retail is not something I would choose again if I had to choose again, I would have chosen something more rewarding."

21. What other careers involve your job? "Shipping companies, transport truck drivers, cargo ship workers and cargo plane pilots."
