2. Finally Mr. Jones found a job in Birmingham, Alabama at the University Of Alabama Hospital. Mrs. Jones was so happy, but her children didn ’ t want to because they love to live in Mississippi but not in Alabama. So they prepared for their trip. On the highway they saw a sign that said Welcome to Birmingham.

3. The Jones family had 2 girls and 1 baby brother. Heather was 10 years old and her sister is 13 years old and their baby brother, Tommy is 9 months old.

4. She has a big sister named Helen who was in high school. It was the first day of school. Heather was scared. Her new teacher ’ s name was Mrs. Twinkle. Mrs. Twinkle was a very nice teacher. She has been in that school for 5 years. Heather went to school then Mrs. Twinkle ’ s classroom. There were 10 students in the class, but there were supposed to be 20 students in the class. When everyone was in the class, Mrs. Twinkle introduced Heather.

5. After the bell rang for dismissal, Heather went to her locker. Then the most popular girl at school, named Mackenzie Robinson, came to Heather and called her Weather Witch. Heather was too scared to tell because Mackenzie might get angry.

6. The next day, Heather got tired of getting bullied by Mackenzie, so Heather just ignored her and went on with her business. Since Heather ignored Mackenzie, she got furious. Mackenzie went to the principal ’ s office and said “ Heather is bulling me and won ’ t stop ”. Heather didn ’ t know of this until the principal said it through the microphone and sent her to his office. Heather was too scared to tell that is the wrong way, so she got her punishment in detention.

7. Dear Mackenzie, Can we just be friends? Please! I don’t have any friends and you’re the only person who doesn’t ignore me. Just please. What if you were me and I was you. You would feel the way I feel like the golden rule. Tell me what you think. Thanks, Heather Jones Then the 2 nd week of school arrived. Mrs. Twinkle said “I will give you a piece of paper to write about your feeling to a person you knows, like a letter”. Heather didn’t have any friends so she wrote to the bully Mackenzie saying:

8. The next day Mackenzie came to Heather and said “I’m sorry! Can you forgive me”? Heather said yes. Mackenzie and Heather went to counseling together and they learned how to get rid of bullies.
