Cave painting The history of graphic novels started with cave paints as they used them to tell a story or to warn people. The cave paintings were from “Cro-Magnon Men to the hieroglyphics of the Ancient Egyptians”(Diamond book shelf 2014) Cave painting were used to tell people a story or to warn other people about the dangers that are about. After they found out that they were about to tell a story with a cave painting they then developed into the magic lantern.

The magic lantern The magic lantern was one of the first type of story books that people were able to read. The lantern works like a projector as you project the images onto a wall. You would also get a story that would match with the images so you could read along with the pictures.

INITIAL IDEAS

Army story To have toys that are flying around and then crash in to a garden of someone's house. The toys have to work out a plan to escape the house after the plane and one of their men are taken. The naughty's Two little toys that come to life at night try to get the little boy and girl in two trouble. The little toys do lots of naughty stuff at night so the little boy and girl get into trouble in the morning. I chose to go with the army story as I thought that it was the best story that would be easy enough to do. The Numpies Little people who are a bit clumsy at times. They sometimes end up getting into all kinds of trouble but don’t mean to. Day dreamer A young girl who is always dreaming about the different life that she would like to have.

Story line The Soldiers are flying the plane when it crashes into a plant pot in a garden. When the men awake they find that their friend has been crushed under the plane. As they try and get the plane off James, a Giant hand and feet come to take the plane and James. The men pull together to get him back fighting with Giants and climbing over obstacles. When they get to James the quickly fixes the plane and fly away from the Giant.

Typography

I researched different types of typography on different sites before I found the right one.

Typography I have choose to have my comic book with this type of typography. The reason that I have choose to have this front is because I like the way that it looks like it is hand drawn and not don’t on the computer. http://www.1001fonts.com/sf-cartoonist- hand-font.html#character-map-italic
