4. Grades Tests: 40% Quizzes: 30% Classwork: 20% Homework: 10%

5. Supplies 8.5’ x 11’ three subject notebook Glue sticks! Tissues

6. Homework Homework posted in class and on the website. – 5 point per homework assignment. – Stamped at the beginning of class. – Students correct and ask any questions the following day.

7. Quizzes Typically 25 points each. 12 problems. Most are NOT multiple choice. Partial credit is given. Warm Ups are a helpful study guide for quizzes. 1 to 3 quizzes in a chapter. 2 to five sections covered on a quiz.

8. Tests Study Guide and Quizzes are your best friend. Partial credit is given. Most are NOT multiple choice. A couple days to review in class Around 30 questions. Typically 100 points.

9. Getting the Tests and Quizzes Back Students are not allowed to take home their tests and quizzes. They can take pictures with phones! Time is scheduled for quiz and test questions.

11. Classroom Rules Raise your hand to get permission (be patient) to speak or leave your seat. Do not speak when someone else is speaking. Keep your hands and feet (all body parts) to yourself. No Electronics, food, junk, food, and/or liquids (ie. sodas, gatorade, water) of any kind. No profanity/cussing, being negative or mean.

12. Consequences Verbal Warning Connect Ed (Phone Call Home) Teacher/Parent Phone Conference Parent/Teacher/Student Conference Referral to Dean and 8 th Grade Team Conference with Parents

13. Automatic Us  Cooperation – Reaching Step 3 or below on the outlined consequences. Work Habits – Grade is below 70%, or if there is little effort to maintain a satisfactory attendance record, and/or they are frequently absent or tardy without excuses. – “TARDY:” Through the threshold and then directly and quickly going to their seat without interrupting other students or the teacher

14. Absences Number of days equal to the number of days absent to turn in missed work. Work that was assigned before absences is still due on the original due date or the day the student returns. In class work/notes and homework to be made up. If absent during the review, they will set up a day and time to take the test with the teacher. If they miss the day of the test, they will make it up the first day they are back. Quizzes don’t need to be made up. Their next quiz grade will count as double. I will not go after students to set up retakes or to turn in late work. (I am not your mama.)
