1 Gradebook Setup in Campus Instruction Grades 4 - 8 2015 - 2016

2 Accessing Campus Instruction Campus Instruction can be found by clicking on the app switcher in the top right corner of the screen. Choose Campus Instruction

3 Setting your login to default to Campus Instruction

4 Tools can be accessed from the left side of the screen Tools that are not yet available in Campus Instruction: Behavior Referral (You will have to return to Campus Tools to access. Click on the App Switcher and Choose Campus Tools) This has been requested and we expect it to be added soon.

5 Gradebook Access your gradebook by clicking on the Gradebook Tool. All items needed for the Gradebook are available from this one screen. Settings (Gradebook setup) In Progress Grades Posted Grades Grades by Category Assignments Add New Assignments

6 Gradebook Settings Gradebook Setup Click on Settings to Expand the Settings Window In the Gradebook Setup Section, click on Categories

7 Category List Your category list should be BLANK Click Add

8 Category Detail You will create 3 categories: Formative = 65% Summative = 35% (These are determined by the district and your weights MUST be set like this!) Drop Lowest Score (%): is a school or teacher preference. (We recommend this is not selected until the end of the term.)

9 Category Placement Check the box beside TERM to select ALL of your courses for this category. Grading Task – Check 9 Week Grade ONLY! Grade calculations are setup within the course based upon 9 Week Grade. DO NOT CHECK any other grading task or your grades will not calculate correctly. Click Save when setup of category is complete.

10 Category List When setup of categories is complete your category list will look like the picture below. Click Close to return to Gradebook. 55 45 Final Exams and EOC are not entered as a separate category in the Gradebook.

11 Category Copier You can use the Category Copier feature to copy categories to your other courses once you have set them up for the first course. Select the course on the left side where you setup the categories. Select the categories you wish to copy. Choose the courses on the right side that you wish to copy these categories to. Click Next

12 Category Copier You can use the Category Copier feature to copy categories to your other courses once you have set them up for the first course. Verify that the categories are correct. Verify that the Standard/Grading Task is set to 9 Week Grade Click Copy You will be returned to Gradebook Settings when the categories have been copied.

13 Grading Scales VERY IMPORTANT DO NOT ADD ANY INDIVIDUAL GRADING SCALES FOR YOUR GRADEBOOK. Calculations for Term, Semester and Final Grades are setup within the Courses and are based upon DISTRICT DEFINED grading scales. Anything other than the DISTRICT DEFINED grading scale will result in an incorrect grade for your students!
