a. Describe the Phase 1- Planning activities you would do to use this lesson in your classroom It is important for students to learn how to be respectful even in completive situations. Students need to be able to follow rules, play fair, and accept the score/verdict of the coach. For this lesson, technology was used to study sportsmanship, the rules of kickball, and TEKS and ELPS definitions of “movement” and “social development”

b. Describe the Phase 2- Implementation activities you would do to use this lesson in your classroom According to Wolfe, the objective of this lesson plan is to teach kids how to be “Good Sports” To access students’ accomplishments of the objective, the instructor must watch the students play kickball and provide immediate feedback during the game

b. Describe the Phase 2- Continued This lesson plan uses the directed instruction method of teaching In order for students to participate, they must first learn the rules kickball and learn appropriate sportsmanlike conduct through the instructor’s example and demonstration To complete this lesson, a kickball and three bases are required

c. Describe the Phase 3- Evaluation/Revision activities you would do to use this lesson in your classroom In order to evaluate the success of the lesson, the instructor must watch students play kickball and determine if they are following the rules, playing fairly, and treating each other with respect If students are lacking in one of those categories, then the instructor must revaluate how the topic was presented to the students

d. Add lesson descriptors- Create lesson descriptors for your new lesson Grade Level – Middle School The objective of the lesson was to teach sportsmanship through the game of kickball Technology was used to research TEKS & ELPS standards, sportsmanship, and the game of kickball If students are not taught sportsmanship, they will focus only on winning and not treat each other with respect.
