for Cooperative Collision Warning 學生:黃建輔 指導老師:許毅然

2 Outline Introduction Vehicular Collision Warning Communication Protocol Performance Evaluation References

3 Introduction What is V2V? 1/3
Vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications comprises a wireless network uses dedicated short-range communications (DSRC) automobiles send messages to each other with information about what they're doing This data would include speed, location, direction of travel, braking, and loss of stability.

4 Introduction What is V2V? 2/3 What V2V could track and report
Vehicle speed Vehicle position and heading (direction of travel) On or off the throttle (accelerating, driving, slowing) Brakes on, anti-lock braking Lane changes Stability control, traction control engaged

5 Introduction What is V2V? 3/3
the orange vehicle receives messages from the other vehicles in a 360ᵒ area bound by a 300 meter radius enabling safety applications that monitor the entire surroundings for crash imminent threats The conventional system includes forward-looking long range radar and mono camera, as well as short range radar on each rear corner for blind zone detection V2V System Conventional System

6 Vehicular Collision Warning Communication Protocol
it becomes an abnormal vehicle(AV) An AV actively generates Emergency Warning Messages (EWMs) If a packet successful goes through, transmission rate is increased; while the rate is decreased if a packet gets lost N3 reacts to the sudden stop of vehicle A with emergency brake

7 Vehicular Collision Warning Communication Protocol
Rate Decreasing Algorithm for EWMs

8 Vehicular Collision Warning Communication Protocol
State Transitions of AVs Each AV may be in one of three states, initial AV, nonflagger AV and flagger AV An initial AV can become a non-flagger AV to eliminate redundant A vehicle can only become a flagger AV some time after the emergency
