File Signature Verification Wizard – Determines if the driver was signed by Microsoft. DirectX Diagnostic Tool – Displays info about your DirectX graphics engine Dr. Watson – Traps program faults so that you can troubleshoot program errors. PCI, USB, ISA Resources By Type – organized by, DMA channels, I/O port addresses, IRQs, and memory addresses Resources By Connection – also organized by the resource type, but then broken down on how they connect to the PC. Red X – the device is disabled Blue lowercase I – indicates the device has been configured manually. Viewable only in Resources by type and connection views. Yellow ? Chapter 6: Installing and Managing Hardware15 SCANNING FOR HARDWARE CHANGES PnP(plug & play devices require the operating system to search for and discover them. The Device Manager’s Scan For Hardware Changes option can be used to initiate this.
