1 T HERE IS MORE THAN ONE WAY TO BE “ SMART ”! M ULTIPLE I NTELLIGENCES

2 Kinaesthetic - Body Smart You may enjoy sports and are good at swimming, athletics, gymnastics and other sports. You like to express yourself and your ideas through movement. ACTIVITY #1: Create a dance movement that demonstrates frustration. Linguistic - Word Smart You may enjoy reading, writing and talking about things. ACTIVITY #2: Discuss with a partner what you did this past weekend.

3 Logical - Number Smart You may be good at mathematics and other number activities; you are also good at solving problems. You learn best by using numbers and analysis. ACTIVITY #3: Complete the Sudoku puzzle given to you Interpersonal - People Smart You may like to interact with other people and belong to lots of clubs. You like team games and are good at sharing. You may be sympathetic and understand how others are feeling. ACTIVITY #4: Write your name on a sticky note and a school club or team you would be interested in joining.

4 Intrapersonal - Myself Smart You may know a lot about yourself and your strengths and weaknesses. You are thoughtful and reflective. You may find it difficult to work in a group. ACTIVITY #5: Write a Diary Entry about how you are feeling today. Musical - Music Smart You may enjoy music and can recognise sounds, and timbre, or the quality of a tone. 5 Visual/Spatial - Picture Smart You may be good at art and also good at other activities where you look at pictures like map reading, finding your way out of mazes and graphs. You may make a mental picture in your head to learn and remember. ACTIVITY #7: Complete the maze you are given. Naturalistic - Nature Smart You may like the world of plants and animals and enjoy learning about them. You can adjust to, adapt and use your surroundings to succeed. You learn best when you are asked to figure out how things work. ACTIVITY #8: Take a walk through “The Street” and record three observations of things you are noticing for the first time.
