3 Defender’s of Wildlife’s Mission Defenders' mission is to protect species and the habitats upon which they depend. In doing so, we focus on preserving the health of our nation's rich biological heritage (biodiversity). Defenders' mission is to protect species and the habitats upon which they depend. 5 Cost of becoming a member There are five classes of membership 1. General ~ $25 2. General ~ $50 3. Wildlife ~ $100 4. Wildlife ~ $250 5. President’s ~ $1000 *All memberships include a yearly subscription to their magazine, also a calendar and wildlife photos.
