Bar one, Ring one, Button one, U-shaped one,
Horse-shoe also got leh!
Magnet, Magnet, got 2 different poles
North-seeking pole and South-seeking pole
North-seeking pole points to the north
South-seeking pole points to the south

3. Haven’t you heard? The Earth is a magnet!
Don’t you know? The Earth is a magnet!
Now you know, Now you know.
Magnet, Magnet got special power
Hang it on a string, it will swing, swing, swing
It will swing, swing swing
Until it rests in a north-south wing!

4. Magnet, Magnet, got special friends
Iron and steel are its two best friends.
Cobalt, Nickel also can.
Aluminium? Not interested!
Silvery and Gold, don’t even try!
Magnet, Magnet, easy to make
Stroking, Induction or use D.C.
Magnet, Magnet, can be destroyed.
Heat it, Hit it or use A.C.

5. When you magnetize, you use D.C.
When you demagnetize, you use A.C.
Magnet, Magnet, got two main types
Permanent ones and temporary ones
Permanent ones – use only steel!
Temporary ones – use only iron!
Steel keeps the power, Iron loses it!

6. Magnet, Magnet, got one special kind
Electromagnet, Electromagnet
Want to make it stronger, use soft iron
Want to make it stronger, increase the current
Want to make it stronger, add more coils
Switch it on, you get the power,
Switch it off, you lose the power.
