7 Summary of the tapestry In this scene Williams men are preparing for the invasion. The men on the left hand side of the tapestry men are chopping down wood to use for the boats. The information on the Internet said that the men chopping down the trees were twice the size of them that’s almost as tall of a cargo ship. Also the men making the ships were a part of William's army. There are holes on either sides of the ship to place the oars. The little hut in the right hand corner was where the ships were placed after they were made. After they made the ships they would start to make the holes in the sides of the boat when finished drilling they would start loading them. Some other interesting in formation maybe that four of the men would make a boat while two other guys would hold down the boat to make it more steady and secure. So it took 6 MEN to make one boat and it took them about 1 HOUR to make a boat!!!. Also the boats came in many different colours same as the flags. This part of the scene was made in 1066 the most remembered year in history (so the Internet says).
